Ms. Adelene
Mother of 11 year old
"Our daughter was already quite proficient in math and she got even better at S.A.M. She learnt different ways to solve word problems and her speed, accuracy and confidence in math have improved tremendously. S.A.M trainers are constantly encouraging her. Also, S.A.M worksheets are very well designed and she looks forward to completing them. I am so happy to see Morgan excited to go to S.A.M every week!"
Ms. Janice
Mother of 11 year old
Jaydon was struggling with math in grade 4 and was reluctant to do math problems. S.A.M trainers take the time to help him understand and fully grasp each topic before getting him to attempt questions in increasing levels of difficulty. The dedication and passion of S.A.M trainers are unparalleled. My child has developed confidence and passion for math. It’s now his favourite subject!
Ms. Carpenter
Mother of 6 years old
We love S.A.M! We have been so impressed with the team at S.A.M in helping our son develop his reading, writing and math skills. The work they do is challenging and comprehensive and we are so glad we found this wonderful gem.

A message from our director

– Mohan Subramanian · Center Director

Welcome to S.A.M Lincoln Park — a place where every child is seen, heard, and challenged at exactly the right level.

“My goal is simple: help every child fall in love with learning — and build the skills to prove it.”
When I opened this center, I wanted to create something the Lincoln Park community genuinely deserved — a rigorous, research-backed curriculum delivered with warmth and patience. Singapore Math isn’t just a method; it’s a mindset. We teach children to think flexibly, reason deeply, and approach every problem with confidence rather than fear.

Our English program follows that same philosophy — structured, scaffolded, and individualized. Whether your child is just beginning to read or preparing for competitive entrance exams, our certified trainers meet them where they are.

I invite you to come visit, ask hard questions, and see the difference for yourself. We’d love to be part of your child’s journey.

Math & English both under one roof

Our two flagship programs follow the globally top-ranked Singapore curriculum, adapted for Chicagoland students.

By CTA

Common questions about the Lincoln Park center

Find quick answers to common questions about our franchise model, support system, and investment details. We’re here to help you make informed decisions with complete clarity and confidence.

The beauty of our personalized model is that your child never actually “misses a lesson” (like a traditional lecture); their custom curriculum simply pauses until they return.

As long as you cancel a session in advance through our parent portal, you will automatically receive a makeup credit to use on any day where we have mutual open availability. Advance notice is required so we can open up that spot for another family looking to use a credit, just as you will rely on someone else doing when your child needs a makeup class.

Yes, absolutely. We know family schedules are busy, so we do our best to coordinate simultaneous timeslots for siblings.

Because our model is strictly personalized rather than lecture-based, each child will work on their own independent curriculum track. Simultaneous spots fill up quickly due to our low student-to-teacher ratio, so please enroll early to get these spots.

We do not offer tiered sibling discounts, as our investment goes entirely into maintaining a low student-to-teacher ratio and a fully customized academic track for every individual child. Our cost of delivering this premium, personalized instruction remains identical for each student.

Instead, we focus on maximizing value for multi-child households by offering coordinated, simultaneous scheduling, allowing you to manage your family’s busy calendar by having multiple siblings taught on their own custom paths at the exact same time.

While we officially welcome students beginning at age 4, we do on occasion accept students who are slightly younger, provided they demonstrate the focus and behavioral readiness suited to a structured learning environment. Our math classes in Lincoln Park are designed to nurture young learners from their very first introduction to numbers.

Because we maintain a student-to-teacher ratio of 5:1 or better, each younger applicant is thoughtfully evaluated on an individual basis. This careful approach ensures that every child, including your own, enjoys a joyful, productive experience while preserving the attentive, focused atmosphere that our students and families depend on.

We offer flexible scheduling options across all seven days of the week for our after school math classes in Lincoln Park. Our current operational hours are:

School Year Hours:
Weekdays:  4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Weekends:  9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Noon)

Summer Hours:
Weekends:  9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Noon)
Weekdays:  Open 2 to 3 select days per week (Contact us for the current summer schedule.)

Because we maintain a personalized 5:1 student-to-teacher ratio or better, a specific class timeslot is booked for the entire term.

Our calendar year is structured into four quarterly terms: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer.

Each individual quarter provides 12 scheduled classes. While our terms are roughly aligned with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) calendar for seasonal convenience, our exact start and end dates may vary slightly to ensure every student consistently receives their full, uninterrupted 12-session curriculum block each season.

Our educational models are completely different. Traditional programs rely on passive, classroom-style lectures with student-to-teacher ratios as high as 20:1.

SAM. delivers a highly personalized learning experience in a strict 5:1 or better setting. As a math enrichment school in Lincoln Park, instead of paying for unguided “seat time” or repetitive drills, your investment goes directly toward active, Socratic coaching tailored to your child’s unique conceptual roadmap. True cognitive progress is measured by the quality of engagement, not the quantity of hours.

While CPS does not endorse any specific test-prep programs, our curriculum aligns perfectly with the core capabilities they evaluate.

The Classical School track rewards strong academic performers with an exceptional foundational mastery of numbers. The Regional Gifted Centers (RGC) track rewards flexible thinking and advanced reasoning. SAM explicitly develops both: we build an elite conceptual foundation for classical success and teach the advanced heuristics required for gifted problem-solving, preparing your child to confidently tackle any academic evaluation.
